Christene Alma Ingles was born to Ronald and Etta Ingles on April 24, 1969 in Toledo, Oregon. Cree always knew she wanted to change her name, but she didn’t want to until she was certain the name she picked would fit her for the rest of her life.

A family member started calling Christene Cree, and the name stuck. In 2001, Cree legally changed her name to Cree Ingles, dropping her middle name.

Cree moved a lot in her younger years. From Oregon she moved to North Carolina with her family. From there she moved to Alabama. After that came Louisiana, where Cree fondly remembers as being the best years of her life. Cree then had to move back to Oregon, much to her dismay.

Cree’s world collapsed. She went from being a well known, self assured and loved kid in high school, to being treated disrespectfully at her new high school in Oregon. This is when Cree began to gain weight, and started a yo yo affair with the scale.

Cree knew she would never graduate in the town she was in, because of the abuse she endured from not only students at her new high school, but also adult figures in the town as well. Cree was then moved to another city in Oregon, and successfully graduated high school.

Cree very much enjoyed being in the Drama Club, and being in local plays. She loved dance class, and joined in anything artistic she could, from winning art contests to being on a cheerleading squad that took first place at state.

Cree then went on to community college, when again, Cree focused on her acting classes, plus Criminal Justice. Cree became a police cadet (Explorer) in her senior year of high school and quickly moved her way up to Sergeant of the program.

Cree had always dreamed of moving to California, so in 1989 she took a position at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and had an amazing experience getting to know people from all around the world that came to be a part of the Boardwalks summer help.

When the summer job was over, Cree returned to Oregon and married a man she met during her first day of college. The marriage lasted from 1990 until 1996. Cree then moved to Eugene, Oregon during her first full fledged manic episode. Cree had no idea she was Bipolar (Manic Depressive). She would not find out until later that year.

Cree spent many years lost and confused, not knowing how to cope with her illness. Cree considers herself lucky having survived some of the things she lived through, during the time her illness had control of her life. Currently, Cree is medicated for her illness and attends therapy sessions to keep her from relapsing.

As a child, Cree loved to entertain and put on shows. She would go as far as making the tickets, setting up the chairs, finding the props and costumes, and writing the scripts. Of course, she was the star in all her own shows. If no one showed up, Cree didn’t care! She would perform for nobody. She just knew she loved performing and being creative.

Cree has always had an outrageous, fun, and vibrant personality. She possesses the quality that enables her to be “real”, “genuine”, and “true”, and that makes her relatable to the masses.

On January 31, 2007, Cree decided to go on the extremely popular website called YouTube and release herself to the world. Cree placed videos on this website showing herself to be vulnerable because of her weight and Bipolar Disorder. She also placed videos of her playing with her “step-son“ Devin, and being the goofy, silly, crazy girl that she is.

Cree exposed herself in her happy, sad, and even manic moments. She did all this while being sympathetic and relatable to her viewing audience. Cree had no idea the effect she was having on the world. Cree is touched, flattered, and overwhelmed at the warm welcome she has been given, and feels that she has finally found her niche in life.

The YouTube world that Cree immersed herself in embraced her; and the rest, as they say; is history.
